The Pyrenaik Apex Tarp — Founders Edition 2026 is an ultralight tarp weighing ≈ 650 g, designed for mountain use, trekking, and survival. Main colour: tundra green · RAL 6021.

From 3 × 3 m to 3 × 3.30 m
Use the wings to overlap and close the shelter towards the ground, or unfold the entire surface for more space. Its 25 tie-out points allow you to adapt the setup.
Technical construction
- 20D Ripstop Sil-Polyester with an interior polyurethane (PU) coating.
- Hydrostatic head: > 3,000 mm.
- Dyneema triangular and square reinforcements at tension points.
- High-resistance herringbone webbing around the entire perimeter.
- Centre seam and central anchors heat-sealed on the inside.
- Pre-formed anchors for inserting pegs while wearing gloves. The 1 cm webbing loops accommodate hook-and-loop markers, cord, or carabiners: a modular system to join anchors and close the shelter further.
6 premium 7075 aluminium pegs
V-profile, 18 cm long and approximately 1 cm wide. Each peg weighs 15 g and features a dark grey anodised finish with the PYRENAIK logo. Reflective pulls make them easy to remove and help locate the pegs using a headlamp or torch; their independent bag keeps gear organised.
The entire system, included
- Apex Tarp and folding strap with velcro.
- Main carrying bag.
- External Mesh Bag with 10 tie-out points and YKK zipper to ventilate the tarp while hiking. It also allows you to carry wet or dirty clothes outside the backpack, separated from the rest of your gear.
- Independent bag for the 6 pegs, with an interior Dyneema fabric shield to prevent puncture from the tips.
- Interior mesh bag to dry and organise guy lines and tensioners. The bags' reflective cords help find them quickly using a headlamp or torch.
- 4 Dyneema guy lines, 4 m long and 2 mm thick, with reflective thread to locate them using a headlamp or torch. The locking tensioner piece is Glow in the Dark: it glows in the dark.
- 18 removable hook-and-loop markers: 6 neon yellow, 6 neon orange, and 6 neon green. Rearrange them to identify ground anchors, guy lines, poles, and the ridgeline.
- Founders Edition 2026 patch embroidered in black and gold, with velcro backing and 3M adhesive base.
